Serves 2:
2 medium Pears (I used Bartlett)
6 ripe Plums
1/2 teaspoon 4 spices mix (ginger-cinnamon-clove-nutmeg)
1/2 Lime juice
1 tablespoon of Agave syrup (optional)
Instructions:
Peel the fruit and cut it into chunky slices.
In a saucepan, mix all the ingredients and add a couple of tablespoons of natural water bringing to a simmer.
Cook for about 20 minutes over a gentle flame, leaving the fruit to stew and the spices to give off their distinctive aroma.
Let the compote cool at room temperature before serving it.
Tip: you can pour the compote in single serving bowls, cover them with clingfilm and refrigerate for a few hours in the fridge.
Serve the compote with a spoonful of natural yogurt on top if you want a low calories, delicious dessert.
