Here’s another delicious recipe from Sri Lanka! These Tuna and Potato Nuggets will literally vanish from your table the minute you serve them!
They are very simple to make and can be fried or baked (if you prefer a healthier version).
Give them a try, they are truly scrumptious!

Ingredients for 52/54 Nuggets:

500 gr Potatoes
425 gr canned Tuna (drained)
3 green sweet Peppers
1 medium sized Onion
2/3 cloves of Garlic
Chillie peppers powder
2 Eggs
Salt
Breadcrumbs
Vegetable oil

Instructions:

Peel and boil the potatoes in salted water.
Drain the potatoes and squash them with a fork while they are hot.

Finely chop the sweet peppers, the garlic and the onion.

Quickly stir fry the chopped vegetables for 5 minutes with a little oil.

With a fork crumble the tuna and mix it with the mashed potatoes and the stir fried vegetables.

Season with salt and chillie pepper (according to your taste) and proceed to make some little balls the size of a big walnut.

In the meantime beat the eggs in a plate and roll in the nuggets one by one.

Drain the excess egg and roll the nuggets in the breadcrumbs.

Fry the nuggets in very hot vegetable oil and serve them immediately!
